Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer, to be based on-site with our client, a global investment bank. This is a contract role, based at their offices in London. 

  • You will be responsible for delivering and supporting low latency networks and market data infrastructures.
  • You will be delivering a number of project requirements, where you will be required to complete technical design documentation and assist with installation to data centres.
  • You will be working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to deliver a full range of solutions within set timescales.
  • The role requires you to understand low latency high frequency networks, market data and protocol understanding within network technologies.
  • The role requires you to have a strong understanding of F5 loadbalancing.
  • The role requires some competence in scripting.
  • You will be considered a go to person for network troubleshooting
  • Strict adherence to company policies and wider regulations is mandatory

Qualifications

  • Proven F5 subject matter expert, including loadbalancing, LTM and GTM
  • Expert level in TLS negotiation, TLS troubleshooting, Mutual Authentication, API/HTTP calls and certificate handling
  • Minimum of CCNP level experience is required
  • ACI Routing/Switching
  • Routing Protocol e.g. BGP, OSPF
  • Firewalls – Cisco, Fortinet
  • An understanding of Linux commands
  • Fundamental scripting skills are required for automation
  • University / Higher education qualifications expected.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience operating within a financial services environment will be highly desirable.
