Responsibilities

North are looking for an experienced candidate who is able to install, commission, service and repair fire and security systems and associated ancillary equipment in line with the requirements set out by manufacturers and industry standards. As a result of this role including onsite working, there will be travel and working away as part of this role. The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Install/ commission / Servicing our wide range of field equipment including, Fire and Intruder Alarms systems, CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual, Public address & Voice Alarm systems
  • Retrofit upgrades / extensions to existing systems as part of remedial works packages.
  • Provide high levels of customer services.
  • Understanding site plans, to allow installs to take part based on site survey documentation.
  • Reactive call outs to site, with an aim to provide a first-time fix.
  • Provide on-site technical support and solutions to customers during both reactive and planned visits.
  • Complete documentation in line with company standards.
  • Work within strict H&S guidelines.
  • Work as part of a 24/7 on call rota.
  • Advise customers on the latest products and services to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be required to have experience with the following technologies:

  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and self-motivated
  • Full UK driving licence
  • DBS clearance (for working in schools)

Desirable Skills Requirements

  • Previous employment within a BAFE/ SSAIB/ NSI accredited company
  • Valid CSCS/ECS Card
  • IPAF/ PASMA/ Asbestos Awareness certification
  • Recent/current electrical qualifications
