The job role:

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, service focused IT/Software Specialist to support and maintain our in-house developed application suite (Celsius) as part of the services we offer.

The position includes activities such as consultation, documentation, support and development of the platform for our customer.

The successful candidate should have a broad base of knowledge and experience from an IT background, such as Networking, Windows, Active Directory and SQL Server together with an interest in developing skills in scripting, report writing and coding.

Location:

Flexible - Home Working / Client Sites (Preferably Northern based)

Role Activities:

• Regular site visits to enable the users to provide feedback on the software or data.
• Requirement gathering to further develop functionality
• Software updates and configurations
• L1 / L2 support for issues with Celsius
• Reporting requirement gathering and working with development team to produce reports
• Server maintenance such as SQL DR backups and responding to customer testing events, planning and communications
• User account management
• Application client deployment
• Application and Database maintenance
• Continuity checks on data
• User training

Who should apply?

Essential Skills:

• Active Directory
• Windows / Windows Server
• SQL Server
• Understanding of Networking and Network Infrastructure with proven experience in a similar role
• Excellent customer service skills, including written and oral communication
• Ability to problem solve
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• Highly organized with ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and SLA’s
• Analytical and detail conscious
• Full Drivers Licence Required

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of application installation technologies
• MSSQL / TSQL
• Scripting languages such as VBScript or Python
• Knowledge of IIS (Internet Information Service)
