Project Manager

Following continued growth, and the award of a significant network infrastructure project North have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and qualified Project Manager to join our Operational delivery team to assist and contribute to the successful delivery of a complex and high value multiyear, multimillion roll out project.

The successful candidate will take ownership for the day to day management of an aspect of a large client roll out project and regional resource team. The Project Manager will have responsibility for project schedule, risk, budget, resource and quality management, ensuring sites within the roll out are delivered to the highest quality, on time and to budget ion line with the programme and scope of works.

The role would be best suited to a dynamic, driven and commercially aware individual, with a passion for customer service, exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational and communications skills.

You should be based or expected to be located in or near South West England so you can attend our client’s sites with an ability to travel throughout regionally as required.

Experience in the networking, wireless or structured industry would be preferred, however you must have, or be able to develop, a high degree of knowledge and information about the business and the programmes in order to make informed decisions.

Business Functions

• Successfully deliver multi-site project ensuring operational and financial commitments are achieved
• Manage the effective delivery of team outputs, in accordance with project targets, quality standards, and service levels
• Accurate forecasting of project resource and procurement requirements
• Projects commercial management, including controlling, monitoring and successfully delivering against project programmes, forecasts & estimates
• Work in partnership with business departments to drive project quality, cost and delivery performance
• Develop and build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, partners and suppliers
• Actively seek business development opportunities with existing and new clients
• Enforce, maintain and monitor project Health and Safety
• Management and coordination of partner and subcontractors
• Value Engineering of Projects to improve the project services and profitability as required
• Line management of Project field resources responsible for delivering project
• Resource management and planning for roll out
• Management of regional client liaison during delivery of project
• Monitoring progress of a programme and identifying risk factors that can cause delays
• Identifying ways to improve productivity and efficiency and reduce delays
• Reviewing/evaluating each phase of the project and providing recommendations for continuous improvements
