Responsibilities

As a Smart Places – Product Solution Consultant , you will be responsible for creating repeatable product propositions and solutions that contribute to North’s Smart Places, product portfolio, roadmap by collaborating with our partners, customers, and internal teams.

 

You will be one of North’s Internet of Things and Smart Places Subject Matter Experts actively participating in new bid opportunities and developing your role as a ‘trusted advisor’ to our customers. You will keep abreast of the rapidly evolving Internet of Things and Smart Places landscape, technologies, competitors and solutions.   You will take on responsibility for the commercial success of allocated product solutions and partners within the IoT Smart Places portfolio.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This is an exciting and broad role that will require strategic and commercial acumen, technical expertise and strong relationship skills.

 

Product Solutions Consultant

  • Maintaining an in-depth view of the IoT, LoRaWAN technologies, sensors, applications, analytics and decision making solutions and how these fit in North’s target market sectors.   
  • Contributing to the overall Smart Places Internet of Things Strategy for North with the aim of developing repeatable and profitable propositions
  • Contributing to North Smart Places Internet of Things Product Roadmap: including vendor recommendations and technology choices.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing and Sector teams to develop compelling IoT and Smart Places solutions and propositions
  • Develop sales training, pre-sales presentation, battlecards, bid documentation, technical demos and workshop formats to successfully support IoT and Smart Places propositions
  • Working with the Commercial, Finance and Sector teams to optimise pricing approaches and bid models

 

 

 

Technical Consultancy

  • Ongoing development of North’s IoT and Smart Places solutions
  • End-to-end service development, encompassing research, creation and testing of new IoT sensors, connectivity and data/ applications solutions
  • Customer centric with hunger to explore customer feedback and validate North service offering and roadmap
  • Pre-sales input to create sector-specific propositions and winning bid responses
  • Maintain technical and commercial partner relationships to support North product & propositions

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, the following skills, knowledge and attributes are key: 

  • Solid track record in delivering end to end smart place & internet of things solutions with business outcomes
  • Strong market & technical understanding of sensors, IoT connectivity, applications and analytics solutions
  • A good understanding of LoRaWAN networking technology an advantage
  • Knowledge of product/service development, launch and lifecycle management ability  to work both autonomously and within a team
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Strong communication & problem solving skills  
  • Analytical and detail conscious 

 

 

Location

Camberley preferable.
